Warrior Day at TBS
(Marine Corps take your spouse to work day)

Freezing, but ready to shoot!
I had no idea how HEAVY the helmets were!
Nolan let me wear his old cammies from A&M, I was definitely the best dressed!
Nolan brought his "warrior" to work!

My mean face!
Or do I look confused?! haha

Nicole and I are ready for Warrior Day to begin!
She and her husband recently moved to North Carolina.. we will be visiting soon! :-)

On the white Marine Corps bus... take us to the range, Marine! ;-)

After a short safety brief, where we learned that everyone is a safety officer,
and a very cold and long line later... I shot 15 rounds in a M-16, then

3 rounds in a 203 grenade launcher

If you are wondering how I did, they had "targets," but it was geared more toward you getting to shoot them, not perfecting your skill! ;-)

Nolan and I in the woods checking out the Bayonet Assault Course...

Nolan and Dan at TBS graduation at the FBI Academy!
Dan has been Nolan's roommate for the past 6 months...

There are MANY more pictures from Warrior Day...
please feel free to email me if you'd like to see more!

Happy New Year!

(Nolan about to enter pre-Heaven ;-) )

You can't welcome a new year without lots of fireworks!
And thanks to Texas you can buy them to celebrate Baby Jesus' Birthday too, so we were able to celebrate both while down in Texas!

Congats to Josh and Jill!
We were lucky to spend our New Year's Eve dinner in DC with them after Josh proposed!
Of course, she said yes! :-)

To a 14 month old, a dog bed is a comfy place to enjoy your chocolate milk, smart kid!
Did I mention he's our nephew, Kaleb?

We had a VERY busy and tiring, but blessed Christmas vacation in many places. It was so nice to see as many of our friends and family members as we could! Now, we are back home and enjoying doing our usual things!

We'd like to put the word out now... come see us in Florida for a few days... we really enjoy being home bodies and likely won't be doing the cross-country tour this year! Sorry!

Where has the past six, almost seven months gone? We are not believing that Nolan is graduating from The Basics School in ONE WEEK! (next Thursday) and from now until then is basically fun activities!

Nolan's Mess Night is tonight... all I know really is that it is supposed to be one heck of a party!

Saturday is SPC Day, I think Nolan's platoon is meeting at Dave in Buster's for an afternoon/evening of fun! I will be able to enjoy the fun with him! Whoop!

Next week we get our paper work back about moving, which will probably be changed to mid-February, if the weather stays as nice as it has been lately... We are house hunting, not to buy, but to rent... one with a fenced back yard, so we can add a Lab puppy to our household! :-)

Wednesday is Warrior Day, previously known as Jane Wayne Day, where spouses (since not all Marines are men) get to do some of the things their husband or wife does on a daily basis! I have been looking foward to doing this with Nolan since JULY! I can't wait! :)

Graduation will come the day after, and Nolan should get to start flying soon after that!

I have one more day next week at Huntington - WHOOP! and will likely sub on base just a few days a week until we move... I will spend the rest of my time hanging out with Nolan and getting things organized to move!

Hope you all have a Happy and Healthy 2007! See you in Florida!
