Binary Code
Elementary Technology Class Activity
Last year, I had the great idea to bring
Binary Code to life by spelling Jesus and making a
unique looking candy cane Christmas ornament in the process....
Pipe cleaners and pony beads for the win!
Students made them in class and then took them home to gift to anyone of their choosing... :)

Let's just say, I was quite pleased to learn this week
that MANY students REMEMBERED about Binary Code
and that we spelled Jesus, when I showed them this picture!
So...
for 2023's
Binary Code Technology class
Christmas ornament...
....
....
we have been making
Binary Code Wreaths that spell Joy.
0s are red and the 1s are green
I hope the students will keep these ornaments on their tree and
remember a little bit about our Binary Code lessons each year and
A LOT about Jesus and the JOY He brings to our lives!
I tried purchasing the beads and pipe cleaners locally, but Amazon was truly the only place I could find the RIGHT color green of beads
AND the number of pipe cleaners I needed at a good price
for nearly 245 students!
